During the first half of 2025, the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, through a combination of advertising and communication channels, contributed significantly to the promotion of both the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) and the European project CMMI – MaRITeC-X.
Local and nationwide outreach included publications of interviews, articles, events, and partnership announcements, focusing on themes such as marine life protection, sustainable development, ocean literacy, and opportunities in blue careers.
The LCCI played a crucial role in enhancing the project’s visibility by disseminating information to businesses, students, educators, organizations, and government officials.
The CMMI – MaRITeC-X project is funded with €30 million, of which €15 million comes from the European Union and €15 million from the Republic of Cyprus, aiming to develop new maritime infrastructure and strengthen the maritime economy in Cyprus.
The LCCI implements a strategic communication approach using its various channels to reach a wider audience, including social media, the Business Barometer, and the digital newspaper Entrepreneurial Limassol, which reaches over 7,000 readers monthly.
