Since the end of July 2025, Sea Taxi Cyprus has been operating routes along Limassol’s coastline, with the aim of providing the highest possible standard of sea transport services, as Stefanos Yallouridis, the service’s Charter Manager, told “Entrepreneurial Limassol”. According to the company, it is the first and only sea taxi service on the island. As stated on the Sea Taxi Cyprus website, the service connects some of Limassol’s most iconic coastal destinations, offering both locals and tourists a different and enjoyable way to travel by sea.
The company encourages those travelling either to Limassol Marina, to a seaside restaurant at Ladys’ Mile, or to one of the city’s well-known resorts, to avoid road traffic and opt for sea transport instead. As highlighted by the company, its team of licensed captains, modern vessels and emphasis on hospitality and passenger service aim to turn every journey into a unique experience.
The Charter Manager of Sea Taxi Cyprus told “Entrepreneurial Limassol” that the public response so far has been positive, describing it as “a new, enjoyable and practical means of transportation”. Regarding the profile of passengers who use the service most frequently, Stefanos Yallouridis said that the greatest interest has so far come from tourists. However, he added, Limassol residents have also begun to embrace the initiative.
“But the residents of our city have also warmly embraced Diamantides’ pioneering project, as both Cypriot citizens and yacht owners have used our Sea Taxi,” he noted. Regarding the cost of a typical journey, Mr Yallouridis said that the indicative price is around €120. According to him, the service has now officially increased the number of pick-up and drop-off points from which passengers can use the Sea Taxi.
“You can find us at various points along the entire Limassol coastline by booking your journey through our website or by contacting us directly,” he said. Asked about the possibility of further expanding the service in the future, he characteristically replied that “the sky is the limit”, leaving open the possibility of new routes and further development of the company’s activities.
The Sea Taxi Cyprus website lists the following pick-up and drop-off points:
• Limassol Marina
• All major beachfront hotels, including Four Seasons, Amara, Parklane, Crowne Plaza and St. Raphael
• Lady’s Mile Beach, including Captain’s Cabin, PlusSea and Ousia
• Water sports centres and beach clubs
• Popular seaside restaurants
• Private docks at villas or piers, upon request.
Each Sea Taxi Cyprus journey can accommodate up to eight passengers.
Stefanos Yallouridis also noted that Diamantides Yachting, which introduced the Sea Taxi luxury sea transport service, is active and innovative in the yachting sector, an industry which, as he pointed out, is on a growth trajectory and is relatively new in the Cypriot market. He also expressed his belief that Sea Taxi represents an important and particularly interesting part of Limassol’s developing maritime culture, while its operating model can contribute positively to enriching and further developing the yachting sector in Cyprus.
Regarding the company’s future plans, the Charter Manager of Sea Taxi Cyprus did not wish to reveal further details, noting that relevant announcements are expected soon.
“That’s why, stay tuned…,” he said, hinting that the company is planning new moves and initiatives in the coming period.
