New €10,2 million financial program of the Research and Innovation Foundation "Cooperative Development - Co-Develop"
Aiming at the optimum connection of the research community of Cyprus with the local industry, the Research and Innovation Foundation has announced the new financial program "Collaborative Development - Co-Develop", totaling € 10.2 million. The program is funded by the "Cyprus Tomorrow" Recovery and Sustainability Plan and is aimed at businesses, research organizations and other agencies.
Among the objectives of the new program is the utilization of existing know-how to address specific needs and challenges in specific sectors of the economy, thus contributing to the strengthening competitiveness and improving of the quality of life in Cyprus. The purpose of the program is to identify challenges, in addition to the joint design and implementation of joint collaborative research and development projects to develop new technologies and solutions to address these challenges. To achieve effective cooperation, the sharing of resources and infrastructure and the mobility of staff are expected, with a view to enabling the transfer of technology and the exchange of knowledge.
The program covers the following thematic priorities:
Call 1: €6 mn. – Green Transition, in the thematic fields energy from renewable sources, energy efficiency and sustainable transport.
Call 2: €4.2 mn. – Information and Communication Technologies or Health Sciences
The projects are expected to be implemented by consortia consisting of at least one company and one research organization. Other consortia from the public and private sectors can participate in each consortium, as deemed necessary for the better implementation of the project. Maximum funding per project is €600.000.
The submission deadline for proposals is 17 May 2022 and 19 May 2022 respectively.
