"The Oval", the imposing building that dominates the coastal area of Agios Athanasios, has become a model for housing luxury offices and international companies based in Limassol, including technology and IT companies that Cyprus seeks to attract. The Oval, is a creation of Cybarco with an investment that exceeded € 40 million. The offices in it were all sold before its construction was completed for a total amount of over € 60 million.
It is home to, among others, Easybrain, a developer of top-selling mobile puzzle games such as Sudoku.com, Nonogram.com, Jigsaw Puzzles, Pixel Art. Its products are used by up to 12 million active users daily in 15 live games. There is also Alexey Gubarev's "Palta", which is one of the founding members of the Tech Island Association. As he stated in an interview with the Limassol Today portal, "Palta" supports and co-finances the development of innovative ideas and start-ups in the fields of health and well-being. Among the most important ideas he has funded is the application of Flo, an international leader in issues pertaining to women's health and well-being.
The Oval is also home to Movavi, a multimedia developer that helps its clients edit, enhance and share videos, music and photos on any platform or device. It is an international company with 400 employees, with products sold in more than 200 countries, as stated on its website. The building likewise hosts offices of the international investment and real estate development group "Allea Group", which is proceeding with the large development "Zaria Resort – Grand Hyatt Limassol" in the Pyrgos community, in addition to "Sychem Cyprus", which collaborated with "Sychem SA" and "Yfantis Engineering" in the construction of OVAL E / M facilities. "The Oval" was designed by the internationally renowned architectural firm "Atkins" in collaboration with the architectural firms "WKK" in London and "Armeftis & Associates" in Limassol. A special feature of this grand building is its shell, which resembles the pebbles of the neighbouring beach.
