The Israeli Ambassador to Cyprus Oren Anolik, visited the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) recently and met with LCCI President Andreas Tsouloftas.
Mr. Tsouloftas briefed Mr. Anolik about the infrastructure and other features of Limassol that make it an ideal and attractive destination for foreign visitors and investors. He also referred to the high-tech companies, many of them are based in Limassol, and to the efforts of the Limassol Chamber for the creation of a Technology Park, a project that may also be of interest to companies from Israel. The President of the Chamber, also highlighted the tourist side of Limassol and referred to the expected ferry connection between Cyprus and Greece.
Mr. Anolik, who was accompanied by the President of the Cyprus-Israel Business Association Christakis Papavasileiou, referred to Israel's achievements in various fields such as technology and digitalization, the medical sector and renewable energy sources. He expressed confidence that there is great potential for cooperation in many sectors of the economy and especially in matters of technology. Mr. Tsouloftas expressed Limassol's readiness and expectation for Israeli investments in various sectors of the local economy.
