The year 2022 will mark the beginning of construction work a new luxury hotel in Limassol. This is the Grand Hyatt Limassol, the first of the internationally renowned Hyatt hotel chain in Cyprus. The resort, with a total area of 10 hectares, which will be developed on the beach of Pyrgos, will include in addition to the hotel, a residential tower and villas. Following the approval of the Environmental Authority last month, Anolia Holdings, which undertook the construction and operation of the project, secured the much-desired town planning permit, which, effectively marks the immediate start of work.
The hotel will consist of nine floors and will have 300 rooms (of which 42 will be suites), while its two wings will be connected by a large lobby. In the east wing of the building, a 24-storey residential tower will be built, which will consist of 40 apartments. The hotel will offer a wide range of services, including three restaurants, state-of-the-art spa and fitness facilities, a kids club, a ballroom, an indoor pool, two outdoor pools and a business centre. It will have three underground areas with 242 parking spaces, while the residential complex will host with 91 underground parking spaces. In all plots under development, land coverage will be limited to 25%.
The first phase of the construction is expected to begin in 2022, with the building that will house both the luxury hotel and the residential tower. During the second phase, a villas complex will be built. Completion time is estimated at 24 months, assuming there will be no delays due to various factors. As a result, the resort is scheduled to open its gates in early 2025. In another development, a few days ago, Anolia Holdings signed an agreement with the management company Hill International, to provide management services and construction of the flagship project.
