The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), together with the Southampton Marine & Maritime Institute and the University of Southampton, co-organised a public lecture by Prof. Tom Cherrett, Professor of Logistics and Transport Management at the University of Southampton, entitled "Drones in Society: The Scope for Drone Logistics to Improve Healthcare Provision".
The event took place on 13 January 2026 in Larnaka, sparking interesting and constructive discussions among participants on the role and potential of drone technologies.
At the same venue, a Projects Showcase also took place offering participants the opportunity to experience first-hand the cutting-edge research conducted by CMMI and to engage directly with its scientists.
