Senior executives of the Cyprus Electricity Authority, led by the President Despina Theodosiou and the General Manager Adonis Giasemidis, were recently hosted in a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Welcoming the EAC team, LCCI President Andreas Tsouloftas praised the very good cooperation that has always existed between the two organizations, as well as the continuous effort of the EAC for the best possible response to the requests of the Chamber's member companies.
On the part of EAC, extensive reference was made to the Authority's large-scale development program, with the introduction, among other things, of a series of state-of-the-art automations, which are expected to contribute to the substantial upgrade of the services offered. There was also a presentation of Limassol's data regarding issues such as the submission of applications to the EAC for opinions on licensing development projects, with Limassol being the first by far in Cyprus in this particular field.
The EAC executives subsequently answered a number of questions of the members of the LCCI Board, among others on natural gas and green energy issues.
During their visit to the Chamber, the President and General Manager of EAC were accompanied by local officials of the Authority, the Distribution Manager of the Limassol Regional Office Thassos Theodosiou and the Assistant Procurement Manager Sotos Savva.
