The Limassol Marina, despite difficult times due to the pandemic, has managed to establish itself as a destination for luxury yachts, but also as a cosmopolitan place of residence, leisure and entertainment. The General Manager, Nikiforos Pampakas, stated that out of the 289 villas and apartments that were built, more than 95% of the villas (worth €3.9 million and over each) and 92% of the apartments (with prices starting from €2 million), were sold.
Residential properties worth over €500 million have been sold to buyers from 48 different countries and 60% of the owners live permanently in the Marina which offers 15 outlets that provide all kinds of quality food and drink. As well as 27 stores with literally everything available on the world market, and all kinds of services for people and boats. According to the General Manager of the Marina, a key role in its success is its location in the center of Limassol, where visitors can reach the Marina within minutes.
The amenities and services of the Marina are used by almost all Cypriots along with millions of tourists, who visit it every year. The pandemic affected it negatively, but with the lifting of the restrictions it is recovering into a central destination of recreation and entertainment, something that is proven by the increased number of visitors, according to Mr. Pampakas. The Management of the Marina, however, are working on plans, for quality additions that are expected soon. The most successful aspect of the Marina "that has exceeded all expectations" is that of hosting boats. In the Marina are 450 boats at any time, from 6 to 110 meters long.
Any available berths are covered by a number of boats from Israel and Lebanon that use it as a stopover, to and from other European countries. Nikiforos Pampakas noted the synergies that the Limassol Marina has developed within the "jet set" of the owners of luxury yachts, indicating that 90% of the superyachts that adorn the pages of the most popular international magazines have passed through it.
