The Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company organized, for the sixth consecutive year, on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 6 pm to 10 pm, at Limassol Marina, a series of events for the European Mobility Week.
In more detail, the Sustainable Mobility Event included a bicycle exhibition, chargers, electric cars and games by the EAC, an electric bus, bicycle rentals, games, interactive activities, and many surprises. Participants included: EMEL, EAC, Nextbike, LCCI, Bikin Cyprus, KXK Bikestores & Lifetech Services, Cyprus Paraplegic Organisation, Lions Aphrodite Limassol, as well as the Workshop with Recyclable Materials – Ioannis Ioannou.
The Event was opened by the Limassol Majorettes together with the Scout Philharmonic of the Limassol District Council.
The Event aimed to promote the use of public transport, bicycles, and electric vehicles as means of transport in order to reduce pollution and protect the environment. This year’s theme of the event was “Mobility for All” and focused on promoting sustainable modes of transport and raising public awareness of the impact of individual mobility on the environment and the quality of life in cities.
“Mobility for All” meant ensuring that everyone had access to sustainable means of transport, regardless of income, area of residence, gender, or ability. Many people continue to face challenges such as high costs or lack of transport options, which limit their access to employment, education, and basic services. ETAL implemented numerous initiatives in this field, as part of an ambitious program expected to upgrade Greater Limassol in this sector. The event was held with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
