The Limassol Tourism Board (LTB) has completed a new outdoor gym at a selected location in the Germasogeia area. The spot is in close proximity to sports and recreational facilities, attracting sports enthusiasts of all ages.
The gym equipment has been installed on special flooring, with solar-powered lighting, benches, and bins also installed. The result is impressive, with hundreds of tourists and locals enjoying exercising at various times of the day in an organized space that combines greenery, courts, and a refreshment area.
During the official handover of the project by the LTB President, Mr. Tony Antoniou, to the Mayor of Germasogeia, Mr. Kyriakos Xydia, Mr. Xydias thanked the Limassol Tourism Board for its generous contribution to the upgrade of outdoor sports facilities and stated the commitment of the local authority to maintain and preserve the infrastructure.
As stated by Mr. Antoniou, the creation of outdoor gyms has been ongoing since 2020, with five points already completed throughout the Limassol region. He noted the contribution of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, which sponsors these initiatives through LTB and emphasized that efforts will continue in other areas of greater Limassol.
