The Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently proceeded with the cleaning of part of the Limassol coastal front, in an area between the Marina and the new port of the city, as part of a campaign organized jointly with member companies/organizations, such as Limassol Marina and City Friends.
The whole venture was assisted by their staff, and always on a voluntary basis, by a number of member companies of the Chamber who, to their credit, thought that it was worthwhile to "sacrifice" a Saturday morning for the good of our city.
As a result of the whole effort, dozens of bags with all sorts of rubbish were collected, in addition to a plethora of recyclable materials and bulky items. The LCCI office team, headed by President Andreas Tsouloftas, included all members of the Chamber's staff.
The Limassol Chamber of Commerce, that is officially a green office and certified as a Zero Waste to Landfill organization, intends to undertake further such initiatives in the near future.
