The Cyprus postal authorities issued, on March 23, an anniversary stamp on the occasion of the 60 years of life and creative presence of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). The stamp, depicting components of the economic and business Limassol and the sectors of activity of the members of the Chamber, was presented by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Yiannis Karousos in the context of a press conference at the Chamber offices.
Addressing the conference, the Minister praised the work of the Limassol Chamber throughout the six decades since its establishment, in view of which, he noted, the issuance of the anniversary stamp became obvious. He also expressed his satisfaction because in this case as well as in other initiatives and actions of the Chamber, the members of the organization are invariably present, thus offering their support.
The Chamber record was also welcomed by the Deputy Director of the Cyprus Post, Sofronis Tsiartas, who stated that the anniversary stamp has been issued in 55,000 pieces, thus ensuring its presence for a long time.
Limassol Chamber President Andreas Tsouloftas remarked that the circulation and presentation of the stamp is a special event, in a special year for the Chamber, and thanked both the Cyprus postal authority and its deputy directors Sofronis Tsiartas and Pavlos Pavlides, for the honor accorded to the Chamber with the issuance of the stamp. He also made a brief reference to the historic course and the long-term goals of LCCI, expressing many thanks to the members for their support, noting in particular the fact that there are companies that remain members of the Chamber uninterruptedly, all these 60 years.
