The hotels "Penteli" and "Splendid" were sold, renovated, to reopen in two years, while the "Kallithea Inn", changed tenant, was renovated and has already been put into operation.
New Helvetia was declared as listed and proceeds with renovation procedures, as well as the "Semiramis" that has changed tenant. "Mount Royal" and "Minerva" have new owners who are considering options as how to use them. The "Guru Mountain Hill Resort" proceeds on the basis of the 1st license that has been issued and is waiting for the 2nd license, while the hotel-retreat with wooden houses, Tree Hotel, is also well under way.
At the same time, the restaurants, cafes and bars in Platres are renewed and enriched. Historical sites such as the "Valley" and the "International Restaurant & Café" are reopening with new owners and tenants, while two bars and a small Wine Bar are created. At the same time, in Platres one can find a chocolate making shop, a soap making shop and lavender products.
According to Panagiotis Papadopoulos, an investor will soon take over the sports center of the community, aiming to improve the level of its services and the Cultural Center is almost completed.
For the ten-storey parking space that the community will build at its entrance, the preliminary approval was secured by Town Planning and plans are being prepared. Funding of €200,000 was secured through a European program for the creation of the open museum of Platres, for which tenders have been announced. An open gym/sports center is also being created, with information on sports activities in Platres, another open gymnasium and a new playground.
