Hundreds of tourists were offered free guided tours in Limassol’s city centre during the weekend, September 24 and 25, as part of the celebrations of the World Tourism Day by Limassol Tourism Board. The tours starting at 9.30, 11.00 and 17.00, were both in English and Russian. During a 90-minute walk the participants had the opportunity to hear the story of the Medieval Castle, to visit the Mosque, the Turkish baths, the church of Ayia Napa, the historic buildings of the city’s centre and do their shopping at Agiou Andreou street and the Municipal Market.

On Saturday, September 24, 14.00 – 18.00, at the Molos Skate park, The Limassol Tourism Board organised in cooperation with Go4it, an event with music, live link and skateboarding, where the friends of the sport enjoyed an afternoon full of action, participating in the competition or just watching some of Cyprus’ best skateboarders on an impressive demonstration of skills. The event was sponsored by: Vimto, Light Skateboards, Monster Energy, and Primetel 4G pay as you go.

Through these events, the Limassol Tourism Board attempted to offer ‘something old and something new’, giving guests the opportunity to get in touch with the historical elements of the city and also offering fun and entertaining activities proving that Limassol is a multidimensional tourist destination, suitable for every age and every taste. The events were organised with the support of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and the Limassol Municipality.
