The 6th CMMI-Maritec-X consortium meeting took place on November 15 & 16. The meeting was held in the presence of all partners both physically and online. The first day of the meeting took place in Limassol, specifically at the building of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry and included information on the developments of the project and of the consortium itself, as well as possible collaborations and synergies. A visit was also made to the Port of Limassol and to Petronav's warehouse, regarding the project's 3D printer where 3D reefs made of ecological cement were presented.
The second day of the meeting took place in Larnaca with parallel sessions at CMMI, with topics such as, regional cooperation and joint policy initiatives, Renewable Energy Technologies and Maritime Applications, Cyprus-Ireland Cooperation for Oceanographic and Climate Observation as well as best practices and tips for successful scientific publications & presentations.
The meeting was an excellent opportunity for constructive discussions with local and advanced partners about CMMI's latest activities and achievements, cooperation prospects and next steps.
A few words about the CMMI MaRITeC-X project
LCCI participates as a partner of the CMMI MaRITeC-X project, with funding amounting to €30 million, where €15 million is EU funding and the remaining €15 million comes from funding from the Republic of Cyprus for the creation of infrastructure.
