"It was a great pleasure to hear about the recent, successful visit of the Limassol Chamber to Tel Aviv. As you well know, our embassy has been actively involved in promoting bilateral cooperation between the Limassol & Tel Aviv Chambers of Commerce. And we also actively supported this recent trip with the participation of Demetris Fessas, the Director of our Commercial Office in this delegation. We strongly believe that such visits contribute immensely in upgrading trade relations between our two countries and that practical, business-to business meetings between companies is the best way to achieve this. The initiative of your Chamber sends out a strong message. That both the Limassol and Tel Aviv Chambers are very keen to strengthen their ties even more following the MOU that was signed in Cyprus. I also believe that your members see great potential in doing business with Israel and the large, diversified delegation to Israel is proof of this. Israel in only a 45 minute flight from Cyprus, with an increased number of flights between the two countries and the closest country to do business with. And Israeli companies from a number of sectors have proved their willingness to cooperate. Our embassy remains committed to assist in any way we can to enhance efforts taken by the two Chambers to bring the business communities of both Cyprus and Israel closer".
