Saudi Arabian interest in Limassol

Saudi Arabia's interest in exploring prospects for investment in various sectors of Limassol's economy was conveyed by the Vice President of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce Muneer M. Nassir Binsaad during a recent visit to the Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI).  Mr Binsaad met with LCCI President Costas Galatariotis and Vice President/ International Relations Heros Miltiadou and exchanged views on a wide range of issues of common interest. Responding to the welcoming of the Chamber President, Mr Binsaad said that his country was very interested in boosting its economic relations with Cyprus, hence the planned visit to Cyprus of a Saudi Arabian business delegation next June for the purpose of conducting B2B meetings with Cypriot companies.

He noted that his first impressions of Cyprus and Limassol were excellent. The Saudi Vice President, having noted the need for Cyprus more actively promoting itself in Saudi Arabia, including in the context of tourism exhibitions, was briefed by the LCCI officials on the economic characteristics of Limassol and the wide range of sectors offered for investment. During his visit to the Limassol Chamber, Mr Binsaad was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers Hussain Alabdulqader and the Director of the Council's Department of International Relations Mohammed F. Alshiddi. The Secretary General of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry was also present.
