There are positive signs emanating from the Autumn 2018 edition of the Limassol Chamber Business Barometer, where the deadline for members’ participation expired at end-November.
The Barometer's findings, which are currently under detailed elaboration, shows, among others, the following:
- Positive outlook for the employment sector: 57% will recruit staff in the immediate future.
- Positive news for investment: 59% say they are quite or very satisfied with the investments made in the last year and 60% plan new investments for the next quarter.
When it comes to the problems faced by enterprises, in a prominent position are again the shortages of skilled labor, while cooperation with government departments is also seen as problematic.
The main demand for improvement in business prospects is the reduction /abolition of the defense contribution on dividends. More detailed reference to the findings of Business Barometer (Autumn 2018) will be made in the next edition of "Entrepreneurial Limassol".
