The Limassol Tourism Board presents cycling routes in the countryside and near the coast

Providing personalized and flexible experiences that can be adapted to the needs of a traveler are a priority for the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company, aiming at traveler satisfaction, recommending the destination to friends through social networks and creating returning visitors. LTC proceeded in 2020 with the mapping and recording of 10 new cycling routes, aimed at cyclists, experienced and non-experienced, who wish to explore the beauties of the province of Limassol. The routes cross through picturesque villages of mountainous Limassol and give the opportunity to anyone interested in cycling to get to know unique parts of the countryside. In particular, there are routes that promote the Commandaria region, wine villages and other mountain communities well-known for their architecture, traditions, delicacies or local arts. The common denominator for each route is that all of them hide surprises and memorable experiences for every visitor.

Some routes cut across coastal areas such as Ancient Amathus - Governors beach - Pentakomo - Monagrouli - Pyrgos - Parekklisia. Cycling on large white-washed rocks next to the bright blue waves of the Mediterranean Sea, poses as a unique experience for Cypriot and foreign cyclists. The area of white rocks offers a magnificent spectacle, especially during the hours of sunrise and sunset. The routes have different degrees of difficulty as well as distance, offering the opportunity to each cyclist to study the characteristics of each route and choose the one that suits their capabilities most. Anyone that is interested can access the routes electronically through the company's website but also through the KOMOOT application.
