Deputy tourism minister attends Limassol Chamber Board Meeting

A wide range of issues relating to the tourism industry in Limassol, and in Cyprus in general, were discussed in the presence of Deputy Tourism Minister Savvas Perdios at a recent meeting of the Board of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Deputy Minister was welcomed by Chamber President Costas Galatariotis and a number of issues were put before Mr Perdios in his area of competence, including mountain tourism development, cruise tourism, and the Limassol marina as a port marina for leisure boats.

The Deputy Minister outlined the actions initiated by his service enhance quality and increase the competitiveness of the Cyprus tourism industry. Mr. Perdios noted that the Deputy Ministry, although it has just completed one year of existence, already has significant actions to show at various levels, is clearly oriented towards a holistic development of Cypriot tourism, that is beaches and inland, and with the co-operation of other government departments and services as well as private sector stakeholders, there is an expectation for better results.
