A new city in Fasouri - Construction sites to be in place by year-end for Citrine Estates and Limassol Greens Golf Resort

A new city is expected to emerge in the coming years in Fasouri, in between Asomatos and Limassol. Providing a dynamic new impetus for this City of Dreams Mediterranean casino-resort, which effectively paved the way for the actual implementation of significant other development projects in the area. These will be essentially luxury projects, highlighting the area as one of Limassol's most expensive. Besides, its proximity to Lady Miles Beach, the infrastructure and services it offers (road network, golf courses, casino, My Mall shopping center) and rich green make it attractive for both local and foreign investors.

Recently, the CNS Group announced the launch of the Citrine Estates luxury project on land adjacent to the now under construction casino-resort. The first phase of the project, which includes residential units of 50 to 370 sq.m. will be completed in 2021. Citrine Estates Group CEO Melis Shacolas Group said the project is to comprise one- and two- bedroom modern apartments and two- to- four-bedroom houses with gardens and swimming pools. Project managers promise that residents will be able to enjoy the tranquillity of nature, rich fauna with a variety of birds, fragrant orange groves and wild eucalyptus trees that compose a unique landscape. The second and third phases will include the addition of other residential units as well as of premises for commercial use. Citrine Estates makes part of a broader development scheme planned by Cyprus Phassouri (Zakaki) Ltd in the area between the upcoming casino-resort and the state forest of Akrotiri Salt Lake. When completed, it is expected to accommodate 1,400 new inhabitants, while an estimated 1000 people will be employed in the offices that will make part of the whole compound.

The multi-faceted Limassol Greens Golf Resort is the largest project to be implemented in the area along with the casino-resort. Lanitis Group communication manager Antonis Papas told "Entrepreneurial Limassol", the construction site will be in place by end-2019. The only outstanding matter left for the project to get under way is to secure the building permit, which is expected shortly, while the evaluation the investment proposals submitted is at it final stage. Lanitis Golf Public Co Ltd has already received the green light from the relevant government departments after securing the planning permit for the revised master plan in addition to the approval of the environmental study that is part of the final project licensing. It is a multi-use project that includes an 18-hole golf course designed by Cabell Robinson, a Country Club, a wellness centre, commercial and recreational facilities such as restaurants, cafes and shops, 500 luxury residences and 235 apartments.
