Vassiliko Cement Works was established in 1963 and the production plant became fully operational in 1967. Acknowledging the advantages of proximity to the sea, the Company constructed the port of Vassiliko in 1983, operating since then without any interruption, offering optimal services to the Company's international customers. In addition, the port facilitates the import of raw materials. The Company has been listed in the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) since 1996.
In 2011, carrying out an investment of €185mn and following new European Standards, the Company completed the construction of a new clinker production unit of cutting edge technology. The renovated production plant contributed significantly to environmental performance improvement, cutting production cost and increasing the Company's production capacity to 2mn tons annually.
